What makes the care from BEATRIX LIED different?
Beatrix Lied has the ambition and the courage to question skincare and not follow the mainstream.
🦉 No cleansing product that normally dries out the skin easily.
Instead, a skin-friendly method – a lotion that doesn't dry out the skin and also replenishes lipids. This means no night cream is needed.
Please try this:
In the evening, skip your usual cleansing routine and the cream that follows.
Exception: if you have oily skin with a tendency toward blemishes, a cleanser with a deliberate mild drying effect is helpful here. Even with this skin type, skip the night cream, and support your skin during the day with targeted care.
🦉 Peeling
Not every skin type suits a peeling or exfoliant. If the skin is delicate and fine, with or without wrinkles, a peeling won't improve its appearance.
Of course, given the wide variety of skin conditions, perhaps only the nose is large-pored or rough. In that case, a local application of a peeling would be perfectly fine.
🦉 No night cream
No day and night cream – just one cream, used during the day, tailored specifically to your skin's needs.
🦉 Moisture
The statement shouldn't be: "YOUR SKIN NEEDS MOISTURE," but rather: "Is a moisturizing product enough for your skin type?"
Moisture in the skin is held in the so-called corium/dermis. This skin layer contains the collagen and elastic fibers that bind moisture. With age and a lot of sun exposure, these collagen fibers clump together and appear as wrinkles. This skin layer lies beneath the epidermis/outer layer.
IMPORTANT: In the lower part of the epidermis there is a barrier and other skin functions that prevent anything from penetrating the body from the outside – not even water! So the question should be: "Is a moisturizing product enough for your skin?"
🦉 No extra eye wrinkle cream
Because if your facial care products are good enough for the delicate eye area, an additional eye wrinkle cream becomes unnecessary.
Exception: if the facial skin, due to sebaceous gland activity, can only tolerate watery products, a separate cream for the eye area is recommended.
🦉 Climate
An important aspect of skincare is factoring the climate or season/weather into your care routine. As a general rule for all skin types:
The more humid and hot it is, the less fat/oil your skin needs. Conversely, the colder it is, the richer/more nourishing your care should be.
